Junior Backend Software Engineer

Leeds - 2x a week

Salary: Up to £35,000

Fruition IT are working with a well-established tech-first business who are embarking on a complete technical transformation. This client is looking to bring in a team of Software Engineers to work on a bespoke software platform as part of the business growth.

As a Junior Backend Software Engineer, you will be surrounded by a team of talented software engineers, putting yourself in a great position to be mentored by professionals in the field, and increasing your technical skills using the latest tech. What will I be doing?

• Developing web applications and systems using JavaScript, Typescript, Node and Terraform.
• Support continuous improvement and integrations to enhance deployment.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, architects and tested to develop unit code.
• Working in an AWS environment.

Key Requirements:

• 1 year experience in a software development environment
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as TypeScript and Node.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and to your own initiative.

Desirable experience:

• Knowledge of NodeJS
• Knowledge of terraform as infrastructure as code.
