    Location: Remote (UK-based candidates)
    Salary: £60,000-£65,000 per annum (DOE)

    Platform Engineer Responsibilities

    • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, maintain, and improve cloud-native infrastructure in AWS, aligning with AWS Well-Architected Framework best practices.
    • Automation & CI/CD: Build and enhance automated deployment pipelines for fast, reliable application delivery.
    • Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with ISO27001:2022 and internal governance policies.
    • Observability & Performance Monitoring: Deploy and manage logging, monitoring, and alerting tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana to ensure system reliability and optimise incident response.
    • Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with engineering, operations, and product teams to deliver seamless deployments and platform improvements.
    • Incident & Problem Management: Troubleshoot platform-related issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement continuous improvement strategies.

    Platform Engineer Requirements

    Must Have:

    • Extensive experience managing containerised applications in Kubernetes (EKS) in Production and building serverless architecture in AWS.
    • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
    • Strong understanding of DevOps practices, processes, and tools.
    • Solid knowledge of networking, security best practices, and IAM policies.
    • Experience with monitoring and observability tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
    • Agile methodology experience, including participation in sprints and delivering iterative improvements.

    Preferred:

    • Hands-on experience with Java (Spring Boot) and Python.
    • Experience mentoring and promoting DevOps best practices.
    • Knowledge of database performance tuning.
    • Experience with multi-cloud environments (GCP and Azure).
